Trends in B2B sales and the role of modern CRM

Selling in the B2B segment is getting harder every year. The average B2B purchase today does not involve just one person, but rather 6 to 10 “approvers”.

The buyer focuses on the price, technical expert on details, finance manager on cashflow and the CEO on strategy. And the salesperson? They try to keep all this in their head, in notes and in Excel. But memory (and Excel) is not a strategy.

B2B Sales

This is where modern CRM comes in:

Today, the salesperson is no longer alone and has a partner at hand – AI Copilot (for example, the one in Dynamics 365). Copilot will summarize in 3 bullet points what is new with the key client and what the next steps are. It will help to prepare the background for the meeting – what was discussed last time, what are the open tasks and what objections might come up. It can even suggest a response to a complex email and save the salesperson an hour of administration time that can be spent on selling instead.

Result: the salesperson does not waste time and comes across like a partner who understands their complex decision-making and helps them navigate it.

Success in modern B2B sales is not about “calling more”. It’s about knowing who to call, when to call and what to call about.

We at LLP CRM can help you with how to make it all work.
